GLADYS
When we were looking for a club teacher at a Home, a young staff came forward. She shared that she was part of that Home from as young as she remembered. Sister Gladys lost her parents at a young age. None of her relatives wanted her. She ended up in this Home when she was 3. Her friends and home -children would go to their home for vacation but for Glady, the orphanage was the only home she knew. She was saddened and depressed to be alone.
Gladys grew and joined as a staff in the same Home. She came to know about a new curriculum for children, she was encouraged. She says, “The lessons of the curriculum moved me. I wish I had this curriculum, when I was growing up.” Today Gladys is teaching the lessons of love and life to children with single or no parents. She is glad that she is able to offer hope and joy to these vulnerable children.
