Well, the journey to get to Guatemala is drawing to an end. We have one week to go and we’ll be on our way!!!
I want to thank everyone who has donated towards our projects. I always tell the guys who go on the trip that fundraising is my least favorite thing, but absolutely necessary. We literally could not do this without your help. I’m always a little intimidated by the amount we have to raise. But, when I look at our list of planned projects, I can’t find one we could do without. Each one counts.
As usual, my fear and concern for fundraising is totally unfounded. Our goal was $16,700. Amazingly, we just passed $22,696. Praise God! Every year, as we visit the families we work with, we always find projects we would like to do, but don’t have the funds for. One year a woman needed electricity, another year someone needed a water well. There are amazing stories behind each one of those situations. God is always so faithful to connect the pieces. This year, we will confidently be able to go knowing we can accomplish much more than we planned. God knows what those projects are. We just have to be patient and wait.
Thank you for being on this journey with us. From purchasing bed sheets and towels, making knit stocking caps, spreading the word, donating money to praying for our team…so many people have been involved in the process. Thank you for everything you have done.
