Well, after all the travels, we finally made it to Tecpan. We are sitting down to our first dinner and it's delicious.
Scott and I had smooth travels on American. Everything went great for Rick and Tom. As we were driving away from the airport, Tom realized he left the wheelchair he brought to donate on the luggage turnstile inside the airport. We were laughing, trying to imagine what would eventually become of that chair. We were picturing a black market sale! As we sat down for dinner, Tom received an email from Delta saying that they still had the wheelchair, and they will coordinate to send the chair to Chimaltenango. Way to go Delta!!! Tom joked that our first wheelchair distribution will actually be to us! We came to Guatemala to give them, not receive them!!! 🙂
We are all ready for some sleep. It is not too cold right now, but it is suppose to get cold tonight. As usual, the WiFi is not working. Thank you Chris for bringing a wireless router.
Tomorrow morning we have a couple of home visits planned. We will then go to the market to buy furniture for Ursula's house. Then, we are off to church for the weddings. I am so excited to see them. They have already gone through the civil ceremony. Now is the religious. If you skip the civil, it can actually land you in jail. Wow!
Thank you for all of your prayers. We need them every day. I will do my best to post blog updates each evening.
Dios te Bendiga,
